One of the most popular MP3 players for streaming media is the WinAmp Mp3 player. It is used as part of the Shoutcast directory system and can handle not only streaming MP3s but those you download as well.

(and really like that sort of thing), but standard operation of the Penguin requires no computer knowledge of any kind. If you can operate a television remote control, or dial a telephone, you'll have no problem with the Penguin.
